The new year has brought new faces to ILCN’s editorial leadership. The official news source of IASLC recently named Mary Jo Fidler, MD; Suresh Senan, MD; and Witold Rzyman, MD, PhD, as associate editors for the publication, joining Editor Corey J. Langer, MD, on the leadership team.
“Drs. Fidler, Senan, and Rzyman have been tremendous assets to the ILCN editorial group,” said Dr. Langer, who is Director of Thoracic Oncology at the Abramson Cancer Center and Professor of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. “Each will bring a different expert perspective to our leadership, giving us input from multiple disciplines—medical, radiation, and surgery.”
Dr. Fidler is Professor and Section Chief of Medical Oncology at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago. Prof. Senan is a radiation oncologist at Cancer Center Amsterdam. And Prof. Rzyman is head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland.
ILCN’s founding associate editors Prof. Fabrice Barlesi, MD, PhD, of Gustave Roussy, Paris, and Prof. Caicun Zhou, MD, PhD, of Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, will continue to contribute their insights as members of the editorial group.
In addition to members from medical, surgical, and radiation oncology, ILCN’s editorial group includes experts in pathology, patient advocacy, oncologic nursing, and allied health. The group meets twice a month to discuss the latest news, research, and challenges facing the lung cancer community and to plan editorial content.
